Check Hendricks Court Dates

Start with the statewide calendar when you need a Hendricks County court date, then work down to the case summary and the court holding the setting. The Hendricks County court schedule is spread across tools rather than one screen. A calendar result tells you when and where a hearing sits. The court docket adds the story behind it, including resets, cancellations, and later orders. Compare both records, and confirm any near-term appearance with the proper court or clerk, especially when a county court does not appear in the calendar selector at all.

How the Hendricks County Court Calendar Works

The official Indiana Trial Court Calendars application looks back seven days and ahead four weeks. Pick Hendricks County, a participating court, and a date. Optional text narrows things by case name or number. Remember the window slides forward each day. This view is a hearing schedule. It is not the full Hendricks County court docket.

A result can carry the hearing date, start and end time, case number, case style, description, court, location, judicial officer, phone, time zone, and refresh time. A broad request displays only the first 100 matches. Narrow by court and date before deciding a setting is missing.

Hendricks CourtCal Has Five Choices

Hendricks County currently offers five choices in the selector. These are Brownsburg Town Court, Plainfield Town Court, and Hendricks Superior Courts 1, 3, and 5. Circuit Court and Superior Courts 2 and 4 are not listed. Historical Avon is missing too. Those gaps describe calendar participation only, not whether a court exists or holds hearings.

Key point: Search MyCase and call the assigned court when a Hendricks court does not appear in CourtCal.

The state Hendricks County court page supplies the broader roster and local-rule links.

Hendricks County Court Date Lookups

Search with the strongest identifier you have. A case number cuts down name confusion. Check every official channel too, since a recent change may reach one view before another.

  1. Search CourtCal by Hendricks County, court, and date.
  2. Open MyCase and read the newest hearing event.
  3. Compare the date, time, court, location, hearing type, and cancellation fields.
  4. Call the assigned court or Clerk at 317-745-9231 if the sources differ.
  5. Check the posted daily docket when arriving at the courthouse.

Hendricks Calendar Search Fields

CourtCal asks for county, court, date, and optional search text, in that order. County loads the participating court list. The text field takes a name or case number up to 75 characters.

Hit Find Hearings to run the calendar search. Reset wipes the filters clean. An empty result only means those filters matched no hearings on the Hendricks County court calendar.

Court Settings: What Each Field Means

A Hendricks County setting is one scheduled event, not the outcome of the case. Read every field together. Then compare the result with the newest Chronological Case Summary entry. A description may point to an arraignment, pretrial conference, motion hearing, bench trial, or jury trial. It may not state how the event ended.

DateThe scheduled day, subject to a later order.
TimeThe listed start and possible end time.
CourtroomThe location to verify before travel.
JudgeThe judicial officer shown for that event.
Setting TypeThe purpose of the hearing, not its result.

Short labels change what a searcher should do next. Read each one with the docket entry and any linked order.

Set
A hearing has been placed on the schedule.
Continued
The event was postponed.
Reset
A later setting follows or replaces the old one.
Canceled
The event will not occur as listed.
Disposition
A recorded outcome, not a hearing date.

Not every date in the docket is a hearing date. A filing date or a payment deadline tells you nothing about when to appear, so check the field label before you count on it.

When a Court Date Moves

An old event can linger in the CCS. A later entry supplies the active date. Read from newest to oldest. Watch for a canceled marker, hearing result, or later order. A transfer or reassignment may also change the court. It may change the judicial officer attached to the next appearance.

When CourtCal and MyCase conflict, open the Indiana Court Directory and call the assigned court. The Hendricks Clerk can route county-level questions. Never trust an old printout or search snippet for a near-term appearance.

Hendricks Daily Dockets Under Rule 9

Indiana Administrative Rule 9 requires daily calendars or dockets. Electronic or other form is acceptable. Each must contain a case number, caption, date, time, and location. The rule does not promise one complete statewide calendar feed.

The rule's text sets out this local access duty in full.

That duty is why a clerk-provided daily list can matter when CourtCal omits a court.

A calendar row is a snapshot, so compare it with the case history. Trial court statistics measure workload rather than hearings.

That source is not a personal schedule. The Court Online Records dashboard is also a statistics tool.

Missed Settings and What Comes Next

Act promptly. Check MyCase for a new entry, then contact the assigned court or an attorney. The clerk can confirm the court and provide record access, though staff cannot give legal advice or promise that a missed date will be reset. Consequences vary by case type and order.

Missed a setting? A missed criminal or infraction date can lead to a failure-to-appear response or other court action.

Call the assigned Hendricks court and check the newest CCS entry at once.

Consult a licensed attorney before appearing without a confirmed setting.

Hendricks Town Court Schedule Traps

Brownsburg Town Court sets its main session for Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Plan to check in around 12:30 p.m. A fifth Wednesday brings no regular session at all. Plainfield Town Court sits Thursday at 10:00 a.m. A fifth Thursday or a holiday can intervene. These rhythms can explain a docket search result. But the date entered in the specific case always controls. A month with five occurrences can quietly break a weekly pattern you trusted.

Town court dockets are limited-jurisdiction matters. Brownsburg and Plainfield hear qualifying traffic infractions, ordinance violations, and misdemeanors. Where the event happened does not fix the court, though. Under the 2026 Hendricks local rules, Danville Police infractions and Danville or Amo ordinance cases route to Superior Court 5. Avon Police infractions and ordinance violations go to Brownsburg. That is because the former Avon Town Court closed. Read the assigned court on the Case Summary. Do not pick a calendar from the location of the stop.

A brand-new electronic citation may not be searchable yet. Brownsburg allows three to five business days for an electronic citation to reach the court. State traffic guidance suggests waiting about ten business days before a payment-portal no-result means anything. Check the citation identifier first, then MyCase, CourtCal, and the court itself. A transmission delay never cancels a setting.

Hendricks County runs one Circuit Court. It also runs five Superior Courts, plus the two active town courts. The 2026 local rules divide matters by case type, weekly rotation, and other assignment rules. A searcher who checks only one familiar Superior Court can miss the actual setting. Start with the court named on the case. Widen the official docket search only when that court is uncertain.

Confirm the Hendricks Court Location

Get the building right, not just the clock. The courthouse, the county Government Center, and the town-court buildings are separate addresses. They do not swap. A correct date at the wrong place can still cost you an appearance. Confirm with the current court contact before traveling. This matters especially for Plainfield, where official state and town sources list different addresses.

Hendricks Calendar Results Need Context

A CourtCal row names the hearing and the judicial officer. It rarely explains the filings behind the setting. Open the Case Summary and read the nearby CCS entries. A motion, notice, order, or transfer can be why a hearing appeared or moved. A public document link is sometimes available. Its text may hold instructions the short calendar description leaves out.

Status needs the same care. An open case may show no hearing within the four-week forward window. A closed case can still display an event in the prior-seven-day portion. CourtCal also shows only the first 100 matches past 100 results. A broad date search can therefore look complete when it is not. Narrow the Hendricks County result to the known court, date, or case text.

Administrative Rule 9 requires a daily calendar or docket in electronic or another form. That does not make CourtCal the only compliant channel. A clerk-provided list or a courtroom posting can supply the local view just as well. The distinction matters for Circuit Court and Superior Courts 2 and 4. Those courts did not appear among the CourtCal court choices.

Hendricks Courthouse and Town Court Locations

Most county matters point to the Hendricks County Courthouse at 51 W. Main Street, also listed as One Courthouse Square in Danville. The county website footer carries 355 S. Washington Street for the Government Center. That address is no substitute for the courthouse. Let the assigned court and the current directory control.

Brownsburg Town Court sits inside the Police Department at 31 N. Green Street. Plainfield is the tricky one. The town's local page places operations at 206 W. Main Street. The state directory lists 1075 W. Main Street instead. Call 317-838-3710 before a Plainfield visit. Confirm place, date, and time together, because the right hearing at the wrong building is still a missed hearing.
